Two weekend workshops to kickstart or renew your yoga practice. Learn the foundations of basic postures, safe alignment, breath work, philosophy and meditation.
October 16th & 23rd in studio from 2:00-3:30pm. Plus enjoy a week in between to join a beginner friendly class on schedule.
We will begin with a centering of the mind and body through simple breathing techniques (pranayama) before moving into a well-rounded practice of the basic postures (asana); seated postures, simple sun salutations, standing(strengthening/flexibility), twisting, forward folds, hip openers, heart openers and relaxation.
We will close each session with an introduction/discussion on the first two(one each week) Yoga Sutras (philosophy) leading into a short seated meditation to seal the practice.
