Erin McCandless experienced her first yoga class in the late 1990s. From the beginning she yearned to learn more and she knew she would one day like to teach others this wonderful and moving practice. At that time, there were few yoga studios and no teacher trainings in her hometown in the Midwest, so she ventured away from home to delve deeper into her practice. She attended as many workshops and yoga conferences as she could get to, studying with and learning from many inspiring teachers.
Erin started teaching yoga in 2002 and completed her 200-hour teacher training at Om Sweet Om in Port Washington in 2008. Since then she has continued learning and, in 2016, completed an additional 40-hour teacher training with Bryan Kest at Santa Monica Power Yoga and Meditation. Erin revels in sharing the power and beauty of a yoga practice with others and she loves the balance that teaching yoga provides as a complement to her “other life” as a corporate lawyer. She strives to provide her students with a similar opportunity to let go of their lives off the matt and enjoy the love and light of yoga.
